Self-Care and Community
Hi friends,
If we haven’t met yet—hello! I’m Tracy, Spa Director here at Cerulean Beauty & Spa. Most days, you’ll find me behind the scenes helping to update our service menu, testing new treatments, or chatting with guests about how we can make their experience more relaxing, more personalized, and more meaningful.
But outside of the spa? I’m a big believer in finding calm wherever you can. And for me, that calm often comes from one of my favorite places in town: the Mystic & Noank Library.
I’ve always thought that a library and a spa actually have a lot in common. Both are peaceful spaces, rooted in care and quiet, where you’re invited to slow down and focus on you—whether that’s through a great book, a soothing facial, or a few moments of silence in a cozy corner.
The Mystic & Noank Library has been one of those places for me ever since I moved to town. Yes, I’m an avid reader and proud book club member—but my love for the library runs deeper than that. The building itself is beautiful. It hosts community events, supports local art, and creates a sense of connection that reminds me just how special this town really is.
One of my favorite recent events was a Sip & Paint fundraiser hosted by co-president Caitlin Wroblewski, and led by our friend Julie Garvin Riggs from the Florence Griswold Museum. I’m the first to admit—anything involving a paintbrush makes me nervous! But I gave it a go, had a blast, and even surprised myself. We sipped wine, made new friends, laughed a lot, and supported a space that gives so much to our community.
As we head into a new season, I encourage you to carve out a little time for yourself—whether that’s at the spa, at your local library, or wherever you find your own version of quiet joy. If you’re looking for ways to support the Mystic & Noank Library, they’re hosting a Spring Soirée on May 30th at the Haley Mansion. Think live jazz, a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres, and a whole lot of community spirit. You can learn more on their website.
And if your next chapter includes a little self-care, we’re always here to help you feel restored, recharged, and ready for whatever comes next.
In the meantime, be well, spa often, wear your sunscreen—and happy reading.
xo,
Tracy
